Shannon BrownLEAD VOCALSWest Virginian by birth, but New Yorker at heart, Shannon fled the beautiful hills for the urban jungle in the late 90's. She was armed with $2000, a pile of sheet music and 85 pairs of shoes. She was promptly sucked into Corporate America, but that's another story (best told with whiskey to dull the pain). Shannon got her musical start at the tender age of 12 in community theatre as a Munchkin in "The Wizard of Oz". Over the next 15 years, she performed regionally in such roles as Tzeitel in "Fiddler on the Roof", Lucy in "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown", Elsa in "The Sound of Music", and ultimately came full circle with "Wizard of Oz" again playing her all-time favorite role, the Wicked Witch of the West. Shannon is also an international sensation having toured Japan wearing cowprint hotpants in a review show called "Country Western Jamboree". She was young...she hopes that Tokyo will forget in time... Shannon holds a B.F.A in theatre from Marshall University. In NYC, she has worked with Goldmine Theatre, Terrapin Troupe, 13th Street Rep., TriArts and has performed stand-up comedy at Gotham Comedy Club and Broadway Comedy Club. From 2008-2009, Shannon performed her country cabaret "Moonshine Martinis" at Laurie Beechman Theatre & Don't Tell Mama. She has also performed as a guest singer with numerous bands around NYC including The NYCity Slickers, The Wicked Messengers, The Steve Tarshis Trio, The American String Conspiracy, The Newton Gang, and the Lonesome Prairie Dogs. |

David WeissGUITAR & VOCALSIn the late 90s and early aughts, guitarist and bandleader David Weiss took his funk, blues, and swing band, SlackJaw Blues, on numerous tours, playing musical festivals, posh clubs, and dive bars coast to coast. SlackJaw Blues opened for Los Lobos, Robert Cray, Charlie Musselwhite, and many others. They released 2 independent albums, "Knuckle Down" and "Bourbon de Luxe". When not touring with SlackJaw Blues, he performed regularly with Carlos Guitarlos of LA's legendary Top Jimmy & the Rhythm Pigs. He played guitar and contributed songs for Carlos' debut album, "Straight from the Heart", which was chosen as one of Rolling Stone magazine's Top 100 Albums of 2003. When David returned to the New York in 2005 he was tapped by the Alexis Suter Band to play guitar. With that group, he played for over a year at Levon Helm's famed Midnight Ramble sessions in Woodstock, NY. The group also played many dates with the Levon Helm Band regionally. In late 2007, David heard Travis Whitelaw singing his hilarious ditties in a dive bar in lower Manhattan and approached him about recording an album. Travis agreed and together with his partner, Joel Shelton, Weiss helped produce and record Travis' debut album, "Sexarkana!". The album has been featured on Howard 101, the Red Peters Show, and Raw Dog Comedy Channel, all on XM-Sirius. David is working together with Travis and Joel to complete songs for Travis' as yet untitled sophomore effort. |

Mike DvorkinGUITARWe're excited Mike can finally perform under his real name now that the statute's expired. Mike's played with The Lonesome Prairie Dogs, Tammy Faye Starlite, Travis Whitelaw, Joey Fortuna and Sean Kershaw, among other legends in the field. He's sullied most of your regular stages in and around NYC such as Southpaw, Maxwells, Joe's Pub and The Rodeo Bar, not to mention playing gigs in a barn, a barbershop and a prison. |
